I’ll probably modify it. Still hit 3 days a week but substitute another lift or assistance work for the squats in the middle of the week. All the more reason to start absurdly light. Also, you could always follow the same 5x5 scheme and progression but with a different split. Like you could do 5x5 as an upper/lower. It'd just be 2x/week frequency instead of 3. Not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things though.
I’m done with the endurance cardio. HIIT training twice a week is about all the cardio I do now.CARDIO fatboi's...cardio...MOVE YOUR ASSES.

I have considered it...that is a "hot topic" now in cycling training....makes a lot of sense.Anybody look into the dna workout/diet stuff like DNAFIT or GiniHealth?
Apparently they get your dna like ancestry.com does and tell you what you should be eating and how to workout more efficiently.
Ive heard about that and find it interesting but I’m not real keen on the idea of sending my DNA to a random company to be put in a database.Anybody look into the dna workout/diet stuff like DNAFIT or GiniHealth?

Why would you not workout legs for the sake of bjj? I started working legs more specifically for that purpose. You likely have a lot more experience than me... but having powerful legs/glutes/hips is a huge benefit in my experience.I don't workout legs hardly any, and I never squat any more. I need them for BJJ and I would rather have legs that work when I'm 60 than strong legs now.
Well I'm extremely flexible in my hips and I don't want to limit that flexibility at all.Why would you not workout legs for the sake of bjj? I started working legs more specifically for that purpose.
