Without looking at the all-22 video, my gut tells me it was cover 3 (I can't see the safeties clear enough on the broadcast footage).

Watching the broadcast view again, I think it validates the explanation that RT may not have thought he would have enough time to throw a deep shot to Brown. The Ravens got a good push on that play and Quissenberry was pretty much beat by the time RT threw the ball. There doesn't appear to be much room for RT to step up in the pocket and throw a deep shot even if he had eventually looked to the left. Even if RT had looked at Smith and Firsker as well, both were well covered and the rush was closing in.

If RT had any fault in the play, it is that he stared down Raymond the whole way, and that probably allowed Peters to close the gap quicker than RT expected. However, if Raymond doesn't fall down, it's a good 20 yard completion as he probably would have still had inside position on Peters.

I bet in hindsight, RT probably wished he had thrown it to Henry for the safe completion and an easy first down, but when RT threw it Raymond was open. It's just one of those plays.

But RT had thrown contested balls to AJB all game and he came down with them. I don’t understand why, in that situation, he would be worried about that being covered up. Especially in cover 3. The sideline is the weakness of cover 3 not the middle of the field.

I think that gives more credence to Raymond either being the pre-snap read, or the play design called for RT to throw the ball to the first read if what they got the coverage they wanted. I think from Tannehill's behavior, it is very clear that Raymond at worst was the first read and RT got the look he wanted.

No matter what, RT threw a good ball, the problem is Raymond fell down for whatever reason and the ball got intercepted because Raymond was on his butt.

He doesnt have Dak to trade...

Have they Tagged him since his injury or was he tagged before? I haven't seen any report of him being tagged which is why I mentioned Dallas. If he's not tagged then I don't see why Dallas wouldn't take a shot but the last few days everything is pointing towards the Dolphins.

I guess my argument is, since we don’t know the actual play call/read/progressions not even waiting a split second to see if AJB beats the press and then going back to Raymond. I get it he’s not gonna be perfect but we needed him to step up and he didn’t. Plain and simple.

Being reported they value him at 3 first round picks. Only team dumb enough to do that is the Texans...

Their fan base is crazy. They want the either drafts for the next 3 years from the Jets. Or Miami’s entire draft plus Tua and defensive stud Howard. They truly over value Watson and his contract. They also misunderstand that while his talent is very good he hasn’t won shit. He also now has put the league on notice he will hold a team hostage for his opinions on how said team will be run. Most Billionaires don't care for that too much. Regardless of what happens I think we might be about to see a decline in Watson on the field.

Fuck the Texans

I don’t think we will see a decline in Watson. But I hope we see a long decline of Houston. If they do move Watson, depends on the team like any other player how well he would do. If he winds up on a weak roster then not great, but a strong roster with good receivers, he won’t regress.

I see how Texans putting it at 3 1st rounds. They’re estimating he’ll take a QB needy need from top 5 pick to middle 1st round next year (or worse) year three.

essentially going 1st round and two mid- late 1sts. If I were ATL I’d do it.

Seems about right. I still think Miami's two firsts and tua for Watson works for everyone. Phins jump into superbowl contention, Texans gain some much needed draft capital and jump start the rebuild. 49ers would be interesting, but I don't really see what the package would be. Washington would be cool too but again don't see how it would get done.

Jets It’s New York. Watson has a no trade and gets to pick where he goes. This also screws Houston. The Dolphins almost make no sense because of where they are and their cap space. They can get some really great players with their draft picks and on cheap rookie deals. It all depends on how good they think Tua is.

I think they're a lot further off than Miami though, superbowl windows are typically pretty short in the NFL and Miami is in the midst of one assuming they get a qb, the jets even with Watson are not.

I don't really see the jets selling off picks for Watson a year after trading Adam's for picks and then almost going winless.

Also Miami on more than one occasion benched tua so that Fitzpatrick could lead comebacks, I think thaat shows where they think he's at right now.

Tua is going to be great for Miami as long as he doesn’t get injured.. They only benched him to help him not get injured/discouraged as he learns the nuances of the game. They are SO set with QB of future, numerous high picks to get talent on both sides of ball. Their success is going to depend on coaching.

They benched him to avoid injury? Lol

No they benched him because he wasn’t producing in those games and they wanted to win.

Just thinking about this and the above posts...why would Miami get rid of Tua after just selecting him at at 5?

I get Watson is a better QB but what could they put around Tua with those picks?

So many different ways to look at this though...Watson could be a bigger FA draw than Tua

A team like NYJ could include Darnold?

Well, I think Watson is a can’t miss player with a track record and Tua is a might miss player with extensive injury history.

Agree but both the GM and HC were with Miami when they took Tua at 5...if injuries were a concern, they should have went with Herbert

Last year many people just were not sure about Herbert. Watson obviously wasn’t on the table when they took Tua. At the time, they thought he would be the best bet. Having Watson on the market changes everything.
