Where did you see the breakdown?Contract lowers his cap hit for this year, gives us about 23 mil in space now......
We will have roughly 20 million after the rookies sign.Only a $6 million cap hit this year?! Good lawd JROB. Now we have plenty of cash for Clowney or more.
I really hope so, man. I still have ptsd over CJ getting paid and immediately turning into trash. This is great news and a great deal! And Henry doesn’t strike me as the type of guy who will get lazy after getting paid. Actually, I think he’ll try even harder to prove that he is worth every penny.
Henry was just on the phone with the Nashville media and basically said now more than ever hes going to go hard everyday so he can keep filling his new born daughters trust fund with new moneyI really hope so, man. I still have ptsd over CJ getting paid and immediately turning into trash.
CJ gave signs early on though. At the end of his rookie year he was a sore loser about some of the rookie awards. I remember thinking at the time he might not be a long-term guy like George.Henry was just on the phone with the Nashville media and basically said now more than ever hes going to go hard everyday so he can keep filling his new born daughters trust fund with new money
Sounds good as a fan
Yea CJ wore out by year 4. Henry is hitting year 5 on fire, different animals those two areCJ gave signs early on though. At the end of his rookie year he was a sore loser about some of the rookie awards. I remember thinking at the time he might not be a long-term guy like George.

This is all true, however look at these guys builds. One is not like the other. Henry is made to carry a team. CJ was best as a sideshow and was over used.Totally different sets of circumstances. Chris Johnson began his career as the #1 back, Derrick Henry was backing up DeMarco Murray and began his career with a light workload. Chris Johnson toted the ball 251 times his rookie season which was more than Henry ever carried the ball until the 2019 season. CJ carried the ball 1,187 times his first four seasons, not to mention his heavy pass catching volume. Henry toted the ball 804 times his first four seasons and was never a factor as a pass catcher.
This is what happens when you have players that don't bring a circus with him, and a team that has good coaches and a front office that respects their players and pays them a fair value. It's kind of a weird situation and deal.
A.Henry accepted what he is worth in today's NFL.
B.We give him a fair deal no cheap stuff or anything.
