This is dumb. They should be taxed based on where their team (employer) is located. I cant think of another travel based job that is not taxed this way. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Taxes for pro athletes are extremely complicated and they are taxed by most states and cities if they play a game there. I don't think they can get by using TurboTax. From the above link:
