Pees obviously wanted to limit Kelce and the Titans D did a great job there. Hill was priority #2 and, though he burned them for 2 TDs, he only had 67 yards receiving. So, IMO, they did a great job limiting KC's two top offensive weapons.

What was disappointing was how the Titans DL could do nothing. If Pees blitzes more, I think we see bigger numbers from Kelce and Hill. Bringing four was not any more effective than three. The Chiefs OL dominated but you have to get more from your base DL.

I was disappointed in Landry and Evans. Landry has to develop more than a speed rush. He spent most of today pushed out of plays. Evans may have been limited by the foot.

I really think the Titans are just a couple of defensive players away.

Have to upgrade Jones or Casey. Heck, Casey may be a cap casualty.

I think he should have blitzed more. You need to gamble a little in a game like this and even though Hill and Kelce probably would have gotten more, I think a Takeaway or 2 would have come our way. Mahomes didn’t throw good on the very few rushed passes he made.
I do too. But good defenses get pressure with their base DL. It's been an issue for quite a few seasons.

I think the hope was Simmons would help in that area, however, it is obvious Jones, Casey, and Landry can't get it done regardless

I think we all notice too based on the new “biggest needs” thread.

I didn’t for a second think Wake was the fix. I like the Simmons draft pick, but ultimately I think he’s the Casey replacement. For any 3-4 D to be successful, there needs to be a legit pass rusher from outside the DL.

Landry and Evans are good but not really pass rushers. I know it’s hard to find a Miller or Ware, but Landry isn’t them either. Maybe some guys can still develop into that, but I don’t think so.

I agree with this...neither one could keep up with Mahomes. However, some of that could be due to Mahomes as well LOL....guy is a stud IMO.

What happened today was, tanny sucked (throwing low and hard), we went away from henry only down 4 points (stupid), our d gave them easy short passes and we didn't contain mahomes. We don't have the players these top tier teams have, so we have to take chances and we didn't, plain and simple.

Yep. Titans played very timid today. They came out swinging, but then seemed to get star struck or something. It was dumb.

Even my wife said that the team wasn’t playing the same as they had the last two weeks. Almost like two different teams.

Happy Monday! After all the Raven smack talk you're drafting 29th and losing your QB and RB. Life comes at you fast. See you next year

Hard to have many complaints. Yes we didn't get much pressure, but Mahomes is avoided to pressure very well on the plays we did get close. It seemed like we were trying to take away the big plays for the most part, shorten the field, and play a bend but don't break defense to keep the score close. The problem with that is we couldn't stop once they got to the red zone. Offensively, we got out of rhythm and stopped doing what we do best. Even still, we didn't play bad offensively, just not good enough to keep up with Mahomes.

Time to restock for 2020. Tag Henry, sign Tanne and Conklin, and get a true edge rusher. Try to bring back Logan Ryan if the money is there.

I would like to get Clowney.
I dont see us making a big splash signing like this with our current situation. We need to keep what we have in tact as much as possible and draft well. There wont be enough left over to sign anything besides some depth pieces.

I would give up our first round picks for the next three years before I give up the sheer joy of crapping all over your overrated thug ass team. Football rarely gives such joy as watching a bunch of smug jagoffs like you Ravens fans get slapped in the face like the beeshis you are.

And yeah. See you next year. Looking forward to it.

The defensive gameplan was terrible. Nearly every third down Pees rushed only three and time and again the defensive line was overmatched. I doubt he made a single adjustment all game.

There is so much wrong with this post. Not even close to true. Pees did everything. We blitzed, played zone, played man. This team is hard to stop. Can you name one team all year that has stopped them offensively?

The reason Pees rushed 3 all games was to put more bodies in the secondary to help contain their weapons. Watch Logan Ryan’s interview after the game and you’ll understand.

So many people on here are acting like there is a perfect game plan for this offense. There clearly isn’t.

Even Mahomes was talking/laughing about the 3 man rush.
I was saying Patrick was starting to get frazzled. We should have intensified that feeling for him. But instead, a 3 man rush all the time.

Dean Pees was not the problem. It’s his job to try and create a gamelan with the personnel that we have. Watch this and learn why we did that today

There were several issues... but the baseline was the trenches.

Neither line got push.

Oline didn't move forward much and Dline didn't get pressure.

I will also criticize Smith for not being prepared to make the Chiefs pay for stacking the box to stop Henry.

His passing routs were too long/deep all season, he needed to have more quick hitting/short routes. Too often WR were running 15+ yard routes and not enough 5 yard routes. When it worked, Tannehill lead the league in yards-per-attempt, but thats not sustainable.

The answer to a stacked box is not short passes lol think about it. The defense has a 8 or 9 men within 7 yards of the LOS. Why would you throw it short?

When did we go away from Henry down 4? We went away from him down 11
