I reeeeealy hope Mariota goes to the Bears and not the Patriots. It would kill me to see him in New England.

Talk today on the nfl network that the perfect fit for him would be the ratbirds backing up Laloser Jackson. Not saying I agree, the they thought he skill set would match that O.

I get the logic. But the dude is so fragile I think he would get hurt very quickly in that offense. But as a backup he would be safe on the bench.

Not saying I remember ever time he was injured but I think it was mostly while in the pocket wasn’t it?

Yeah, it was. You are right. Do you think he would be safer running as much as Jackson does? If he gets hurt in the pocket, it doesn’t get any safer outside. That is my point.

No, who knows, historically running qbs eventually get injured. All I meant was that style of o is what he is more suited for....we spent 5 seasons trying to put a square peg into a round hole

Wasnt it the 2 bad injuries back 2 back. He played 4 seasons without missing a game before that if I am remembering right.

Oh, I agree skill wise—said that in my first post I thought. But I just don’t think his body and frame can survive it.

I believe he missed games every year due to injury.

2019 10 but obviously he didnt start the whole year.

He started off plenty durable and lost 1 whole season to a injury. Other than that not terrible.

Wait, you are talking about Tannehill? Sorry, man. I thought you were talking about MM. the post you responded to was about MM. Sorry for the confusion.

I would love it if he goes to New England. Since he sucks, the patriot dynasty is most Definitely over.
You say that but how man people have "sucked" before going to NE and becoming stars.

Randy Moss was "washed up" with only 553 receiving yards in Oakland the year before joining the Pats. Then he had 1493 yards and 23 TD's the next year with the Pats at age 30.

Mariota still has potential, and potential flourishes in NE.

Only disagree with Moss being your example. Many didn’t think he was “washed up” and if I recall there were a lot of people wondering how Oakland only got a 4th for him. I mean Collins was his QB.

Fragile Fred and Corey Dillon fit your example. I thought they were both done before NE.

I like how Fisher used him to his fullest potential when he was a Titan.

:sarcasm:

Randy moss was a WR. Obviously going to a train wreck to a place with the goat qb and head coach was huge for him.

Marcus is a qb. He has to actually lead the team. And everyone openly says that the weapons in New England are garbage. How is his problem of refusing to throw the ball going to miraculously improve throwing to those receivers who can't separate?
