perhaps youre right, I just wont be at all surprised if he does make it back

Its all pretty unprecedented. I never thought T. Hill would get a contract, at least so quickly, but I imagine that the timing was perfect for both parties.

Hill is one of many examples that make me think there is still a spot for AB down the road should he decide he still wants to play

these GMs are fighting to keep their jobs, if they get a shot at an elite talent theyll take it

whats the blow back for signing a bad guy? People forget things so quickly this day in age, and no one lets their morals stop them from cheering on their fav teams..

Bengals signed pac, Niners stood behind Foster several times, Cowboys put up with Gregory.. We see these guys get away with bad behavior constantly

That's exactly what it is. His agent is just doing his job and in the age where the NFL selectively worries about "tarnishing its brand", you cant blame him.

He could easily be back next year.

He will still burn his bridges though. This goes beyond being a diva. This is about a man thinking he can do whatever he wants and if anyone tells him otherwise, he will do it anyways.

There is absolutely no way he's back. Period. Owner's run the show, AB has taken malcontent to a malicious level against the owner's club. Called out Kraft on personal affairs, called out the league based on current owner/NFLPA arrangements.

There is not a single owner that will ostracize their own franchise by bringing this guy in. He is totally blackballed. It will never be admitted, but he is done by the owner's choice. And he knows it. That's why his ego is saying he is done because he wants to be done.

On another note- I read that Pats absolutely do NOT have a legal leg to stand on in denying him the rest of his 10M bonus. So I'm sure AB is going to get the last laugh on the Pats on this one. And it serves the Pats right. They had no business bringing him in. They deserve to pay.

Really?

I was under the impression that its the exact opposite, I thought that clause was extremely vague.

No matter, dude needs it and will probably be gone by the end of the month.

i disagree on that I'm sure the Pat's brass legal team thoroughly read the stipulations on AB's contract and they wouldn't have made this move unless they were beyond covered.
Also-with recent allegations Brown is currently under investigation most teams would be wise to respectfully pass until the outcome of the upcoming court battle.

The language is somewhat vague. Brown's attorneys will state that Kraft sullied his own character and that occurred before he was signed. Experts have gone on record stating that even though AB a jerk, he'll win in an administrative judgement. If it goes to court, They'll have to carry the cap until the issue is resolved legally.

Kraft may not like it, but I expect he'll pay it to make it all go away. AB has some leverage in that he just needs to keep the issue raised.

Riverman is right, as is JCBrave. Talent prevails, but when you attack the Good ‘ol Boys club of the owners, you burn your own house down.

Brown crossed a line when he attacked Kraft. You’d think he would’ve learned not to attack the person who writes his checks(Mayock), but apparently he’s even dumber than we all thought.

How is he blackballed? I thought the term was for someone being denied plying their trade due to colour. Not for being a fool.

More like idiotballed.

No, IIRC “blackball” was an old phrase where secret ballots were cast using white (in favor) or black (against) balls. Voters palmed the ball of their choice and it dropped into a box. Nobody could see how someone voted. So not a race term.

its a very unique situation, but hes a unique player

if he wants to play he will

Im just not sure he wants to play, he seems to have bigger problems than football
Nope. He’ll be blackballed now. Then every time a WR gets hurt, we can hear about how AB is still available.

The only difference between AB and crapernick is that AB is clearly talented enough to start, the other one, not so much.
