Hoping to lose for any draft pick is stupid.

I believe TN was already a competitive playoff team. The draft helped. They need to not lead the league in injuries.
No one is hoping to lose, you just don't put the team in a position to win now. If you think the focus of this draft was to improve the product on the field and make a playoff run in 2023, we see things differently.

Day 3 provides some hopeful impact players, but pretty much it was, went in with 6 picks, left with 1 starter. Still holes at important positions and lacking a lot of depth throughout.

I guess this statement threw me off then

I'm going to say this often. Entered the draft with a ton of holes and left with 1 starter.

Totally punting on 2023. My only hope now is, Levis ends up being the guy and we suck enough to draft Marvin Harrison Jr.

looks to me liking hoping to lose to get a WR.

edit:
FTR, you NEVER make effort to avoid putting your team in position to win now.
The goal every year is SB. Any effort put forth by anyone within an organization to not strive 100% for that, should result in the termination of their job.

But they didn't draft everyone's favorite players or positions that fans determine they want picked! That must mean the Titans don't want to win!

You’d think the Titans would have learned by now.
I’d also think while PK is pursuing the boards here for news, he might use some of his “journalistic” access to put in a good word for what the fans want.

Got me there, but come game time, I'm not actually hoping we lose. What I meant is my second post, is that the TEAM isn't actually hoping or trying to lose. Like I'm sure JRan and Vrabel aren't talking about going 0-17.
Like I said before though, if you think they looked at this draft as an opportunity to field the best possible team in 2023, we're never going to agree. It is pretty clear they are planning for the future. Are they purposely going to lose games? No. Are they ok sacrificing a season or two for the future? Definitely. It happens all the time. Teams trade their best players to build for the future. So while that's happening, they privately think to themselves "well I want to win, but I we end up losing some games to put us in a better position for 2024, its not a total loss".

What makes the NFL great is the fact that the worst team in the league can make the a championship run the next season. That's because of the cap and the draft.
