I come here every year and say this - if you can, go to training camp. Take a day off if you have to. It's the closest access to the team you'll get all year. It's literally like a high school football game where the players are just across a chain link fence. It's one of my favorite parts of the season.

With the Pats coming to town for a few practices, that makes it even more cool. I went the last two years when they practiced against the Panthers and Bucs and it was really cool to see them going against other teams and not just themselves.

Go if you can!

If u could choose a game or training camp as a first time ever what would u choose? Ive been wanting to fly out and catch a game but if training camp is funner I may try to do that next yr instead.

It depends on what you value in your experience. Do you like being as close as possible and access to players? Then training camp would probably be what you should do. Would you prefer cheering on the team with 69,000 other Titans fans and the atmosphere of gameday? Then go to a game first.

You COULD try to line it up to come and go to training camp then go to a preseason game in the same trip. That might be your best bet. I got preseason tickets on stubhub for $6 apiece once - plus after halftime you can easily move down to the lower level - they aren't as strict about staying in your seats during the preseason. I can usually get preseason tickets for free just because I know a lot of Titans fans with season tickets and a lot of times they don't want to go. Heck maybe even a fellow goT member could hook you up since it's your first time.

I just looked and they practice against the Pats on Thursday, Aug 15th (9:50 AM-12:00 PM). The preseason game against the Pats is Aug 17th. If you could find something to do on the day between the two, that'd be a killer trip!

I usually go to a few practices a year, but games are a lot more “fun”

Practices are cool. You get to see the players up close, but they tend to get a bit boring when they aren’t doing team stuff. And it’s usually hot as balls.

If youre local and want something free to do for a couple hours, it’s worth it ... I wouldn’t fly out for a practice specifically though.

Tennessee Titans NFL - Titans News, Scores, Stats, Rumors & More - ESPN

The Titans went back to work today. Here are some takeaways: 1) Corey Davis returned after leaving practice on Friday and not playing in the scrimmage. A.J. Brown did ladder drills before individual period. He hadn't been on the field since the first day of camp. 2) Ryan Tannehill worked mostly with the 1st team today. They work on 2 minute offense. Marcus Mariota was given a rest day. Tannehill threw the ball great anticipation. Especially on outbreaking routes by Tajae Sharpe.Titans takeaways from Day 9 (cont'd): 3) Mike Vrabel worked on a separate field with Jurrell Casey and Jeffery Simmons. Said even though the defense misses Casey, it's good to have him working with Simmons to show him techniques that are expected. Simmons did some drill work today WITHOUT the brace on. 4) Ryan Succop was on the field long after practice. Vrabel hopes to have him in the preseason and confident Succop will be there for the season opener. 5) Jonnu Smith ran routes and looked smooth. He worked on a separate field but had a brace on his knee.

I friggin love Vrabel as our HC. Having injured Casey working with and mentoring injured Simmons is how a WINNER coaches up his talent. Establishes expectations, maximizes preparation efficiency, and builds unity. That’s how a winner rolls.

I’m calling it right now. Lombardi going to be in Nashville by 2023.

Vrabel has been nothing but great for this team. Guy going to be around a long time!

Far too early to hit the panic button yet but 4 of our drafted rookies are injured and missing training camp.

Simmons, Davis (mystery), Brown... and now Andre Walker is out for the season (undisclosed).

Brutal.

Fingers crossed Davis and Brown are back soon and we avoid any more setbacks.

Walker is on IR but they didnt say he is done for the season. They can bring him back if they wanted to depending on how certain decision are made.

they cant actually, u have to make it onto the 53 man roster in order to be brought back, since he was put on IR before the 53 were decided he cant come back, same with cam batson

Excellent point. Thanks for that clarification.

So, Simmons can't play this year either?
