I'm ready to hear about the 6 "8' UDFA WR who catches everything with 1 finger and blows by everyone on a regular basis, only to be never heard of again when the season starts.

Also ready to hear about the DL that can outrun everyone on the team and gets 9 sacks a practice, only to be never heard of again when the season starts..

:)

For sure. I liked them both coming out of college.

Not sure where to put this. I need some information for the first training camp this Saturday how soon should I show up? I have a two and a half hour drive to get there but I really want to take my 8 year old son to see his first training camp. Is it something that is worth the drive? He absolutely loved coming to Nashville for the draft! Also is there anything else I need to know to make it a good trip for him?

It'll be crazy on Saturday. People start lining up long before they open the gates but, usually, the first 15 minutes of practice is stretching. Plan some extra time to walk from the parking lot too.

Problem is, if you don't get there early, the spaces in front of the fence fills up and your child might not be able to see well. There are bleachers that usually are not full though and I think the view is great from there.

To be in good position for autographs, I'd get over to the fence near the building where the VIP area is. You'll see fans head over that way as practice finishes up.

Go to the link on the original post for more info. It's been a couple of years since I went out so maybe someone else can comment too.

I come here every year and say this - if you can, go to training camp. Take a day off if you have to. It's the closest access to the team you'll get all year. It's literally like a high school football game where the players are just across a chain link fence. It's one of my favorite parts of the season.

With the Pats coming to town for a few practices, that makes it even more cool. I went the last two years when they practiced against the Panthers and Bucs and it was really cool to see them going against other teams and not just themselves.

Go if you can!

So what exactly is our TC schedule? I know the first “open practice” is Saturday but do we know when rookies report, vets, etc? Is there a closed practice before Saturday?

Here's what I've found:

Monday, July 22
- Rookies, injured players and quarterbacks report to Saint Thomas Sports Park for training camp.

Thursday, July 25 - Veterans report to Saint Thomas Sports Park for training camp.

Friday, July 26 – Training camp begins at Saint Thomas Sports Park.

Thanks TJ. I had trouble finding that info.
