They got cocky this go round and it got them knocked out.
They scored almost no goals the entire World Cup
I’m not sure that guy earned the privilege of resigning.Report: Andonovski resigns as USWNT coach

They played like crap the whole tournament. They were lucky to make it out of the knockout stage.I’m not sure that guy earned the privilege of resigning.
They were to cocky and thought they would win with ease

Despite the terrible people (at least person, that dominated the coverage) they’re still the USWNT.
The fact they lost and get knocked is a testament to how good they have been. Making the cup and losing in the second round is considered a flop for them. Most countries that’s extreme success (consider the USMNT)
the biggest piece I can’t stand about the negative attention they’ve gotten, is the continued push that they somehow “leveled the playing field” in pay when in reality that’s totally false.
As noted, while soccer was on hiatus like the rest of the world, the USWNT all made millions more than the men. They negotiated a guarantee in their contracts to get paid even if not playing. That guarantee is the difference in men accepting the risk of potentially $0 when they don’t play, which is exactly what happened.
Yup- good job thereThanks for explaining that
