No safety in the NFL has more interceptions than KB over the last three years.


Over the last 2 seasons, Byard turned in 85.3 (2017) and 88.4 (2018) overall grades.


In 2018, Byard earned an 89.0 run-defense grade, an 82.5 coverage grade and allowed a lowly 55.8 passer rating in coverage.
 
highest paid isnt that big of a deal anymore with the cap going up so much every year like it does. you actually end up saving money in the long run if they are truly good. good signing, glad to see it done before camp.

Byard is one player that never gives me any type of anxiety. Always in the right places and the right time.

Well deserved contract (which is essential to back pay for what he's done for us).
 
Heck yeah! With a massive collection of free agents after this season (Mariota, Henry, Logan, Woodyard, Conklin, Kelly, Jones, Tanehill, Pamphile, Correa, Sharpe, Sims, etc.), it's time to start getting the core guys under contract. This was priority #1. Now on to priority #2, my man Logan Ryan!

no way we are paying ryan unless he takes a super team friendly deal, and why would he?

currently he's being paid as a top 20 CB and he's our 3rd CB.... no way we continue that... 0% chance

he was a great stopgap but unless malcolm doesnt return to his end of the season form, he gone.
 
I'll be happy if he plays out the 6 year and is as solid as he has been... Or gets better and gets another contract in 3-4 years when 14m per year is average. Lol

Solid player that could keep getting better.
 
Pretty good for a fan.

Glad we resigned him though, even if it is expensive. We can't afford to let young players like Byard walk, and our franchise could use a little more personality.
