Maybe it's just me, but this website is very confusing with the thread formats. Just feels like every topic is all over the place. It's just very hard to keep up with.

I think what made Gotitans.com great was that it was just simple. Kind of like going to a steakhouse to get a steak instead of going to a massive buffet for a steak.

Not knocking this at all, just feels like this site is just moving way too fast. I'd say get the core posters engaged with Titans talk and only Titans talk and build from there.

Every time I refresh I'm met with different topics.

Merging topics was gotitans.com stronghold. Just having topics all over the place is an eyesore, especially when those topics are inactive with no responses.

We are going a very different direction then GT and we are already more active then it was the final 6 months. This format is the way now of big boards and it works. I'm not Jeff, this isn't GT and I have no intention of copying the very outdated concept it had. You see new topics, because it displays latest topics on the main page. I find the site much easier to navigate though now.

I don't see it. When I refresh the page I see a ton of topics irrelevant to Titans football.

The only way I can see Titans football is by clicking the hamburger menu and only then I can see what's going on in Titans talk.

Yes I understand. But you shouldn't have to do that. When you click on the logo (which is nice BTW) it should automatically take you to the Tennessee Titans Talk. Tennessee Titans Talk should be above everything. Shouldn't have to click on the hamburger menu bar and then go to Forums to see Tennessee Titans Talk.

If that was the case we should delete everything else, the chatbox, pickem, wagers, all the other forums and only have one forum. Clicking the logo goes back to the main page of the site because it is that, a full site not just a single forum.

Go to filters on the right corner and uncheck unread threads only. Then you will see all the threads. You can also go to the titand forum and mark it watched and filter watched only too then you will only see titan talk topics on the main page

Yeah but the average user on here isn't going to know that.

I think you're doing a great job, but in my opinion the forum is just all over the place with so many inactive topics. I'd just keep it simple and merge 10 topics into 1. Clean and simple is the best way when getting off the ground. But that's just me.

10 topics that have no relevance to the other topics you are merging doesn't make sense. You now have one topic talking about 10 different things. As the site progresses, new active topics will populated and old dead ones will fall off the first view page.

Yes it does. For instance, everyone giving their opinions about this site. There's like 6 or 7 threads on it. That's just one example.

I want it that way so a bug report doesn't get lost before I get to it because 6 other people posted a different bug in the same bug report thread. This site is going to grow very large over the next 1-2 years. I'm preparing it correctly for the growth now so it's not a clusterfuck later. Also getting everything laid out correctly from the start rather then as it grows is the way to go as people already here will get accustomed to the old way and confused when it changes later. The way you are describing things. you seem to envision this to be a small site with just the old GT members here to be it. I'm envisioning this site to be very large with hundreds online at any time.

I get where both of you are coming from. Titanup, I think we are both the senior citizens who still want to pay our water bill by check in person, while the city is demanding credit card or ach online only. This website has been a learning curve for me but it gets more comfortable every time I visit.

We got to hurry up anyways. RAY kurzweil said 21 years to the singularity.

Been a lot of changes recently and a bit of a learning curve. Starting to find my way around a little better now. I like the recent comments spot, and he has been cleaning up a few things as well. I have been part of the broom a few times deservedly. Think this site Mike has been working on will be cheddar come opening day!
