His name is Matthew Boling and he just set the national high school record in the 100 meters dash. Who would've thought?

He's going to UGA to run track. Should be very interesting to see what he can do at the next level.

Once he gets his start polished and form up to sprinters par, he actually could be legit.

Keep in mind, this is in the State of Texas. Texas, Georgia, California and Florida produce the fastest phenoms :)

One white guy ain’t beat a group of African Americans like that since the 1800s

It's just crazy to me to think this guy would've beat Tyreek Hill by a stride or 2.

I remember seeing Tyreek run with my own eyes when he was in high school at the Georgia State meet. Always knew Tyreek would be special at something.

When I was in high school there was a guy named Bryan Sears who went to Liberty County High School down near Savannah. Dude was a freshman running 10.1. They thought for sure he was going to the Olympics in the 100 meters. Dude was 6 "4' 215 as a freshman running 10.1 (no joke). He just reached his peak way too soon, being that he got slower as he aged. Ended up running 10.6 as a senior.

But apparently this Boling guy hasn't come close to reaching his peak. From what I read, he didn't even run the 100 meters up until this year. He was a 400 meter guy. He's running 10.13 on accutrack, which is 9.89 with a stop watch.

This is equal to someone from the ghetto being the best golfer in the country lol. Just not heard of.

Let's not get too crazy... how would he run in pads? Some runners are stronger than others.

wind aided, massively wind aided. which is why they were running the wrong way on that track. organizers did not want them running into the wind.

So the wind just blew his lane not all the other dudes?

Also not one ladies hair was blowing even a bit...doesn’t seem like much wind

that is not the point, it improved his time significantly

I guess I say who cares...the point about this KID is that he has only been running the 100 for a year or so...in that way he is like my track hero and man from the future Usain "Lightening" Bolt. Bolt was also a 400/200 guy that had to beg to run the 100.
