I really can't believe that the Steelers gave up next years 1st for Minkah Fitzpatrick. They stand the chance of having a very high pick after losing Big Ben for the season. Big Ben has hinted at retirement the past few off seasons....so this would seem like the perfect time to possibly find his replacement if you are picking high in the draft...the Steelers usually don't make poor front office decisions, but I think they will regret this move.

It’s a ballsy win now move and I don’t understand it.

You’d figure you’d atleast wait a minute until you see how MR does.

Damn.

Fitzpatrick getting traded for more than Mariota will ever be worth.

What a time...

When I saw the headline last night that Miami traded Fitzpatrick to the Steelers for a first round pick, and knowing that PITT needs a QB because Ben is out, I thought it was for Ryan. I sat and laughed for a moment at how stupid the Steelers were for trading a 1st round pick for him.

Anyway, I don't see how this makes sense from a STeelers perspective. Is their secondary that depleted that they need to give up that much for Fitz? They're 0-2 right now and going nowhere without Ben and that pick could easily be a top 10 pick. Not worth it if you ask me. But I am happy to see the Steelers do something stupid.

There’s no guarantee even if the Steelers had a top 10 pick and drafted a QB that it would turn out be a franchise QB for them. I’m sure the Steeler organization knows more than we do and wouldn’t make such a bad deal. Maybe they aren’t in love with the top choices in next years draft.

haha me too.

Minkah makes more sense. But also less sense.

Y’all realize it’s the DB and not the QB that got traded right?!?
I did read the thread title and open it to see if this was no kidding about Ryan.
By virtue of not wasting a first on fitzmagic with QB issues, I’ll say smart move Pitt.

I really dislike those fools. Pittsburgh losing is the next best thing to Tennessee winning.

Next they'll send a 3rd and a 5th to Titans for Tannehill and people will lose their minds!!! lol

It's typical cocky Steelers arrogance. They thing they are going to be just fine without Big Ben and still be good. I don't believe that they think that they will have a top 10 pick.

I hope they stink it up, Ben retires and they are stuck in the type of hell that us Titans fans have been accustomed to for years into the future! :bliss:
