SUMMARY: The new deal for RB Travis Henry will pay him the league minimum in '06. In re-working his deal last week, Henry's scheduled base salary of $1 million for '06 was reduced to $545,000 in '06. He's scheduled to earn base salaries of $708,000 in '07, $871,000 in '08 and $1.03 million in '09. Henry rushed for just 335 yards on 88 carries last season while missing four games last season due to being suspended by the league.

Good move by Reese to get him down as low as possible. TH has a lot to make up for.

Its probably the best he would have gotten on the FA market as well. Its a bad year to be a FA running back. Especially one with two strikes in the substance abuse program.

Shows his passion to play here, now he has to show that on the field
I think he will. Some people need to nearly hit bottom before they wake up and shape up.

If he's playing for the minimum, then he also got incentives and/or a bonus up front. I thought they said incentives, but no one has specified exactly what the terms were.

Depends on how they both play this year. Brown's contract expries after 2006...

If Brown gets injured and misses much playing time this year, he won't be back. If Henry fails a pee test, he won't be back.

There's a lot of potential for a great running game with both of those guys healthy and with their heads on straight, but it's a crapshoot that will happen.
