Just a thought..... but we didnt draft a tight end, were unsure if Jonnu can be the guy, and Delanie isnt getting any younger. The Vikings drafted Irv Smith jr, and word is Rudolph is on the block. Hes in a contract year, hes only 29, and I think this would he a huge asset to the offense and something the Titans should look into. It's almost the same situation as when we acquired Delanie years ago. Thoughts?????
 
I definitely see us making a move for another TE

Stocker played a specific role no one else can except Walker can really fill. And Walker is still hurt.
 
I've read the Pats are interested.

I personally wouldn't think the Titans would need him if Walker is 100%.
 
I really feel like Jonnu can be the guy, he was coming on and I’d hate to give up a resource after seeing what he did before he went down last year. Gotta have faith in your young guys if they’ve given you a reason.
 
The reason I like it is cuz Walker is what 35? We get both Walker and Rudolph for a year, then this time next year we re-evaluate the situation. Worst case is we lose him after 1 year and were out maybe a 3rd round pick. I'd be all for it, hes also a very good blocking tight end, and hes almost a "delanie esque" type of player.
 
Also I forgot to add, Titans new tight ends coach is former Vikings tight ends coach Todd Downing. Theres a few videos of Rudolph speaking glowingly about both Todd Downing as well as Delanie Walker. Sometimes connections like this make moves happen. Other times they just sign with New England and win superbowls

No way the Vikes are netting a 3rd round pick for Rudolph.
 
We might kick the tyres on this one, but I see us using this season to see how DW comes back from injury, and to bed Jonnu in.

If one or both show they're not up to it, then I can see us using a high draft pick next year on a TE
 
With Humphries and AJ Brown joining the team, TE may not get as many looks.

So I can't see us going after Rudolph at all. Same reason why we didn't draft a TE.

That's a good point, I didnt even think about that. I'm so used to us being WR deficient lol.....
