Beautiful.And a 1967 Gibson J45, nbd
I got it because I didn’t want to put a bunch of unnecessary wear on the Gibson. I got a pretty decent deal on it from guitar center with a trade in.Beautiful.
Nice stable all around though. How do you like the Seagull?
Nice. A cutaway acoustic/electric and a strat will most likely be my next guitars. That 600ish range is about the budget I will likely have for the cutaway too.I got it because I didn’t want to put a bunch of unnecessary wear on the Gibson. I like it quite a bit. I had to have a cut away and having something built in North America that’s under $600 is hard to beat. I love the color of it but the finish is unusual, it’s a matte color and the fret board is similar. Took me a minute to get used to, but I like it now.
It’s honestly a good little guitar, not quite as bassy as I’d like but I got the Gibson for that. It checks off a lot of boxes for it’s price point.

These are my current gits (not pictured: a cheap Yamaha acoustic):

Reverend Sensei. Love this guitar. But it's the only "nice" guitar I've ever owned. So the quality difference between it and the Squiers and Kramer I'd previously owned just jumps out at me every single time I pick it up.

Taylor Big Baby. I like this guitar. But it was a bit of an impulse buy that I now kinda regret. I'm just not in love with the sound. It's too bright and just doesn't have enough oomph. However, the neck is fanfriggintastic and being a "15/16th-scale" it is slightly smaller/slimmer than your typical dread which makes it extremely comfortable to play. For those reasons I will hold onto it. It'll be my "beater" I don't mind taking wherever.
Currently I'm just playing on a Vox Adio, which is a little desktop modeling amp. Sounds surprisingly good for what it is and can get loud enough for my current purposes. But a bigger and better amp will definitely be my next major gear purchase, before anymore guitars sadly.
Also... only pedal I currently own is a Big Muff Deluxe. Gonna wait til after I get a decent amp to start building the pedal board.
Look into em. They have some really awesome designs. (Probably a you'll either love them or hate them situation, but I love em). My model is sorta like a Les Paul sound-wise but with a more modern take on the SG aesthetic.I’m not sure if I’ve ever heard of Reverend but that’s a cool lookin guitar.
I generally love em too. They play so nice. It's just this is a pretty budget one. If I had it to do over again I would've spent a bit more and got a nicer model on the used market. But oh well. Ya live and learn.I freaking love Taylor’s. When I have enough to justify upgrading from the Seagull, the Taylor is kinda my end game acoustic. Absolutely beautiful guitars.

They are made in Korea but then shipped back to US where they are inspected and individually setup. Serial numbers are hand inked on the back of the headstock. I don't think I've ever seen a bad word about them out there. They retail in the $899-999 range but you can find some awesome deals used since it's not a major brand like Fender/Gibson. I got mine for $550 shipped on Reverb and it was basically brand new and flawless. This definitely won't be my last Reverend.
I love Jags too. Probably because I was a Nirvana freak as a kid. I love the offset aesthetic in general though.I really like Jaguars, and they make a lot of models like that.
As I get older, I find myself playing acoustic more and more. But if I had unlimited funds, I’d probably have 15 electrics, makes no sense.
I just got that PRS a month ago and still play that Seagull more than anything.
And I'm the same way. I play acoustic 85% of the time yet I'm always pining for a new electric. It's weird. How do you like the PRS?
