"Seattle still is considering trading franchise DE Frank Clark and if he were to be traded before Thursday’s draft, the package would need to include at least a first-round pick, per league source."

hes young and pretty good... if they think he will fit and wanted to give a 1st for him i'd be ok with it

Frank Clark just comes off as a player that won't exist outside of Seattle.

But no way in hell would they get a 1st rounder for him.

Agreed. He's holding out and refusing to play under the Franchise tag. They also don't have a lot of leverage and hardly any cap space post Wilson contract. I could see him going for a 2nd rounder

This guy is in prime condition

25 and cemented as a top edge rusher

I might do a 1st for him

Last year he beasted out, but I don't think he's shown enough of a history to warrant a team giving up a 1st and then turning around signing him for a huge contract.

We all know certain players tend to play at a super high level in a contract year and this is clearly the case here.

If we're giving a 1st, we should trade back to the end of the round first and pick up some additional picks! Say trade back from 19 to 32 for one of New Englands 2nd rounders, and then trade #32 for Clark. :)

He's had 32 sacks and 8 FF's in the last 3 years and is pretty active against the run.

With that, the way Seattle pass rushers scare me. Seems like everybody can gets sacks in that role in that system. I flip on the televsion and see Bark Mingo and Dion Jordan ripping up people.

New England weed have to want to trade up...I am not optimistic

Two things are bad about this. First, he had a history of domestic abuse I think in his college days...so that may scare some people off. It's one thing to invest a high draft pick...it's another to invest a high draft pick AND a huge chunk of your cap AND a ton of guaranteed money.

He's a top EDGE rusher in his prime, but the fact that Seattle doesn't want to pay a top EDGE rusher in his prime should tell us something.

Its seattle, they pull this with just about every vet due a pay day

If the draft unfolds in a bad way (all the 1st round dt and edge and other players we grade as first rounders are gone), and we have no trade back scenarios that we like, I might do it if the contract is structured in a way to shield the team against any personal issue coming up...like spreading his guaranteed money out over a few years, etc. He's very good, but so are a lot of guys in this draft.

I don't see us doing this. I think we're more likely to go EDGE in round 1 and sign Suh than take this guy on...but, he's pretty good!

He's a violent idiot. We aren't trading a first and giving a bunch of money to a guy who the players and coaches have to walk on egg shells around. Imagine if he sucker punched one of our lineman like he did in Seattle. Lewan would literally kill him.

Guy is a one year wonder and I wouldnt want to pay him either little lone trade a first round pick and pay him that kind of money for one year of production see fat Albert

I understand not wanting him for various reasons but one year wonder???

He had 10 sacks in 2016 starting 5 games but played in 15.

He had 9 sacks in 2017 starting 12 games but playing in 15.

He had 13 sacks in 2018 starting 15 games this year.

I don't see a one year wonder. He's a top 10 pass rusher with baggage.

When a team openly wants to get rid of a player it makes me think they know something we don't. It's very different than a player openly wanting to leave a team. There's no way I'd give a first for him. Anytime a team openly looks to trade a player, I'm thinking a 3rd tops.
