HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. -- Ron Jessie, a former Pro Bowl
receiver who played for the Los Angeles Rams and two other teams
during an 11-year career, has died. He was 57.
Jessie died Friday after suffering a heart attack in his
Huntington Beach home, said his son, Brandon.
The Dallas Cowboys drafted Jessie during the eighth round in 1971 and traded him during training camp to the Detroit, where he played the next four seasons. Detroit traded him to the Rams in 1975 for a first-round draft... ...more
