MIAMI -- Longtime Miami Dolphins executive Bryan Wiedmeier was promoted Tuesday to president and chief operating officer and he'll direct the team's business operations.
Wiedmeier succeeds Eddie Jones, who retired last spring after nine years as team president.
Wiedmeier joined the Dolphins in 1981 and has been executive vice president and chief operating officer since 2002.
