I'm not sure Pollard is the first guy I would look to for an opinion like this, but also not sure he's wrong...
Unless there's something specific about Pollard I don't know/remember, I'm more apt to believe the opinion of a recent former Titan than a current Titan who has to toe the company line.

I'm not surprised. The players aren't dumb or blind. They see the same exact shit we do.

no one gives a fuck what this guy thinks. the ppl in this org are completely different than when he was there yet he claims to know stuff.

You don't think he still has friends in that locker room? He probably knows a lot more "stuff" than you or I.

Bernard Pollard couldn't even run his own brand, let alone an entire organization.

"Release me."

"Ok."

*forced into retirement*

He is just trying to get spots on radio shows with his commentary. It worked with his comments on Mariota, so he's back at it.

he's demanding the firing of the GM (who wasnt in place when he was there) because they he says they are complacent. same with Amy, also wasn't in place at the time.

the dude is just trying to get some clout so ppl invite him onto tv/radio. it's painfully obvious.

Yeah you may be right. I actually didn't realize it had been so long since he was here. I was thinking 15/16' for some reason.

So... you guys are saying he is wrong? This is a top notch organization that rarely make mistakes and get the most out of their franchise?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't remember any of that good stuff happening.

Pollard will nitpick about anything for attention

Gotta stay relevant somehow I guess

Not saying pollard would be a good owner/GM/coach but he’s right and if I remember, he left on bad terms because he said something along those lines while in a uniform here.

Yeah who cares about Pollard. Delanie’s comments are what’s concerning.
I personally prefer people who worry about themselves instead of "calling people out". That did them a whole lot of good in SF.

I sense with all the bubbling frustrations of the past couple of weeks, the wheels aren't far away from completely falling off this team if we have another abysmal offensive showing this week.

Falcons will be playing at home for their playoff lives too, at 1-2. Has the makings of a blowout to be honest. Hope I'm wrong!

Not saying he’s wrong lol, Titans definitely have some issues, but he’s speaking as if Jrob and Amy were around when he played in Tennessee.

Exactly. I was about to say the same things. You're focusing on the wrong thing. Pollard is just the vessel. The message is what bothers me. Delanie is right, and it feels like this might be a slight towards his QB. The players need to step up, and Mariota in particular. Where are the captains of this team at? What are they doing?

We can blame the coaches or the personnel, but what bothers me the most is the attitude, or lack thereof, from the players. I keep hearing Mariota and these melancholy press conferences. Where is the attitude? The fire? The conviction and passion???? Today PK asked how he feels about his field awareness and his response was "fine". Another question was about his footwork and base, and his response was "pretty good".

No. That's bull sh*t! I want to hear, the "leader" of this team admit it. Hold yourself accountable man! I almost hate to use this as an example but I want Tim Tebow-esque speech. Say what you will about the player but after that loss, the Florida Gators came out and dominated to win the championship (barf). I'm sure there are plenty of other examples of this, but that's just the one that comes to mind.

Maritoa, the captains, and the rest of the players need to be pissed off! I want to hear our QB come and say... "I sucked at this, I messes this up, I'll put it on MY shoulders". No more of this.. "keep trying to get better every day" or "I need to do a better job with...". Say that you WILL do what you need to do. You WILL do a better job. Admit your mistakes and your flaws. Be pissed off! Everyone else already knows it. Just come and say you WILL work on:

Progressing through your reads faster
Maneuvering the pocket
Footwork
Throwing with anticipation
Delivering with accuracy and velocity

Then go out and actually WORK on it. Stay after practice. Study more film. Make other players stay with you. Reach out to other QBs for guidance and coaching. Get advice. Just make it happen! I've said it before, Mariota might legitimately need to speak with a psychologist. Go get hypnotized.. who cares? Whatever it takes.

Get pissed of Marcus!! You're freaking playing for your livelihood man! Want to continue to make millions playing a sport? Or want to be a has-been working as a college analyst??? It's squarely on you. You single handily have the opportunity of turning this around. Put the rest of YOUR team on YOUR back. Let all this other crap and frustration motivate you. Stop with these BS answers and trying to stay politically correct. Call people out that need to be called out, starting with the man in the mirror, then go out and prove that you what it freaking takes!

Damn. Enough is enough.

Yeah, but that's the coach's job. What are you going to say? Marcus, you suck? He's still going to suck.
It's everyone's job. Yes, the coaches can absolutely call out players and say they're sucking right now. Hold them accountable. Sh*t even in high school our coach would call us out and throw insults around. How are you going to respond to it? that's the question.

But don't deflect the blame on the coaches or organization. Those are excuses. Each player needs to take personal responsibility form themselves. Especially Marcus. No one, coaches/media/fans, should be a harder critic than yourself. We are just not seeing that.
