    Great news... hopkins back at practice, might play! Bad news...he supposedly has a torn MCL so he'll probably be out for the season by week 3.

    Not many kickers are getting chances beyond 53 yards tho. The record for makes from 55+ is 6 in a season (he missed 2 other attempts). So not like every kicker is out there booting it from 53+ in normal situations. Kicks from that far out are usually coming in times of desperation at the end of...

    Folk had the highest fg % in the league last year (amongst those with more than a few kicks. 29/30 and 5/6 from 50+ which was probably above average for last season from that distance. Better to not put yourself in a position to have to kick it 50+ anyway.

    Guardian caps in game ARE optional this year. Been some players announce they will be wearing them. Personally, if they think it makes them safer, cool. I don't care what they look like. Football players could wear tutus and tiaras for all I care. I watch for the sport, not a fashion contest.

    Who is your all time favorite NFL player

    I'd have to go with Steve McNair. The Titans came to TN right around when I started really getting in to football... McNair played with such grit and determination and made things exciting.

    The Titans cut a bunch of guys no one has ever heard of and a couple of guys that needed to be cut.
